At the Glavinič farm, we have been growing grapes from which we have been making the best wines for over a hundred years.
The Jeruzalemsko-Ormoške gorice hills have been known for their grape and wine production since 1681. The locals grew vines and made wines for vineyard owners, especially for gentlemen from Vienna.
Our vineyard has one of the best locations around, in Vinski Vrh near Jeruzalem. The excellent, all-day sunny, concave location of our hills below Jeruzalem gives our grapes and wine special aromas.
The vineyard is planted on loamy – marly soil. The location is southwest and is illuminated by the sun all day. All grapes are hand-picked. The following varieties are planted: Chardonnay, Šipon, Pinot Noir, Muscat, Muscat Otonel and fragrant Traminer.
The must is fermented in stainless steel barrels at controlled low temperatures of up to 18°C. This way, the wine retains a greater amount of natural carbon dioxide, visibly sparkles, and is therefore called a lively wine.
